As an extension of the 2024 Paralympic Games, AdvanThink is co-organizing Paris-Saclay's first inter-company "Wheelchair Rugby XV" tournament with the Nozay sports association.
This event, organized by the AS Nozay Rugby club in collaboration with AdvanThink and the Fédération de Rugby XV Fauteuil, will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. It will bring together companies from the Paris-Saclay science and technology cluster at Complexe Sportif du Moulon, located at 8 route 128, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette. You can register here.
The event will take place in the Moulon gymnasium and will bring together 10 teams of 5 players, accompanied by their supporters. This tournament offers a unique opportunity to unite public and private players on the Saclay plateau around an inclusive sports project. Participants will include elected members of the Paris-Saclay committee, teams from major groups, SMEs, startups and academics.
Beyond the sporting aspect and raising awareness of handisport, our main objective is to organize a friendly meeting on the Saclay plateau, and to present awards.
Rugby XV Fauteuil is a mixed sport played in a sports wheelchair, with no special sporting skills required. It enables everyone to play together, erasing differences in age, gender and disability, and placing players on an equal footing. The tournament is a true celebration of inclusion.
We hope that this event will enable companies on the Plateau de Saclay to get to know each other better and forge strong links.
