Anticipating non-conformities and interactivity/alerting
With Amadea, we were able to quickly put in place rules that enabled us to detect non-conformities, which could then be corrected before they had any consequences.
Like all laboratories, we communicate a lot by e-mail. Here again, Amadea offers specific mailing functionalities, making it easy to create an alerting system in anticipation of non-conformities. Identifying non-compliances has enabled us to give greater responsibility to those involved, who are notified and learn from the feedback they receive, thus reducing the risk of errors being reproduced.
Advanced activity statistics
One of the essential elements in Medical Biology is the calculation of the impact of reagent cost per unit on sales. Due to laboratory practices, this calculation is a complex process that current information systems are unable to handle due to their inability to go into this level of detail. By integrating middleware and LIS data with Amadea, we were able to identify all the iron-outs, all the CQEs, etc., and calculate the true patient cost. This approach enabled us to reduce the invoice for certain reagents by more than 10%, making Amadea licenses profitable.
Medical statistics
With Amadea, all medical data is now available in the form of monthly statistics or on demand. For example, summary tables on antibiotic resistance (ATB) are automatically sent to attending physicians each month, eliminating the need for a costly license for a dedicated tool. If an ATB is detected, an alert e-mail is sent to physicians in less than an hour. In addition, regular reports are sent to physicians to provide feedback on compliance with HAS recommendations concerning their medical prescriptions, enabling them to offer their patients high-quality follow-up. This automation enhances efficiency and economy within the system.
